The Cananga odorata is a part of the Annonaceae family. It is native to East Asia and spreads all the way to Northern Australia. It's a fast growing tree exceeding 5 meters per year and it attains an average height of 12 meters. The evergreen leaves are smooth and glossy; the flowers are drooping with six narrow, greenish-yellow petals, rather like a sea star.

Known as the "flower of flowers", Ylang Ylang was given its name for its sweet, floral aroma. These tress are widely grown in tropical areas throughout Asia and has been used for years to support healthy hair, skin, and overall wellness.
